✦ How it started

From a side shelf to its own home

Fidget Fables didn’t start with a grand plan - it grew out of something much smaller! It actually began as part of another shop I run with friends, but the fidgets and sensory toys kept quietly taking over until they clearly needed a home of their own.

As a neurodivergent person, these aren't just products to me. They're tools I genuinely use every day: the ones I reach for when I need to focus, unwind, or just keep my hands busy. Everything you see here has been picked because it passes that test first!

There’s a bit of a "cute test" too. I've always loved kawaii-style things: soft colours, adorable designs, anything that makes you smile before you've even picked it up. But sometimes something earns its place purely because it’s that satisfying!

The Sensory Test

Does it actually fidget well? Is the texture satisfying? Does squishing it feel like it should? If it doesn't pass the hands-on sensory check, it doesn't make it onto the shelves - no matter how good it looks.

The Cute Test

Does it make you go 'oh that's so cute!' before you've even picked it up? Soft colours, kawaii designs, and that irresistible must-collect factor. Most things need to pass this one too... but occasionally, a fidget is just so satisfying it earns a pass anyway!
